Today’s recipe brings back a lot of memories from the place where I spent a major part of my life – Mysore 🙂 That home which will always be mine, where I will never feel a change even if I visit the place once a year or once in 2 years 🙂
While in college, my sister and I would love eating these masala vadas from a food joint near our house.
Very recently when I was having a phone conversation with my sister, we got talking about those yummy vadas and bondas that we used to eat at that food joint. I couldn’t get the thought of those tasty vadas out of my head.
The rainy weather in California added to my craving. I decided to recreate those yummy Masala vadas. I must say I am pretty happy with the result 🙂
Anyway…without any further stories and delays, here comes the recipe for Masala Vada 🙂

Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – as per taste
METHOD:
Soak the channa dal with enough water for 30 minutes to an hour.
After soaking, drain the water completely and grind it in a mixer along with green chillies and ginger into a coarse mixture.
