Crumbled Paneer in spicy tomato and onion gravy is a delectable combination with hot rotis and parathas. This recipe is not only easy to make but is also high on taste.

INGREDIENTS:
Paneer – shredded / crumbled – 1 big cup
Onions – 1 – chopped finely
Tomato – 1 – finely chopped
Green Bell pepper – 1 small – cubed
Ginger – 1/2 inch – chopped finely
Garlic – 1 clove – chopped finely
Green chillies – 2 to 3 – chopped finely
Salt – as per taste
Spices:
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
For tempering:
Oil – 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds / Jeera – 1 tbsp
Saunf – 1 tsp
For garnishing:
Mint leaves – few (3 to 4)
coriander leaves – few
METHOD:
In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil. Saute cumin seeds and saunf well.
Now add the chopped green chillies, ginger, garlic and onions. Saute till onions are translucent.
Then add the bell peppers and saute for couple of minutes.
Now add the tomatoes along with the salt and the spices mentioned under the ‘spice’ section.
Saute till the tomatoes are mushy.
Once the tomatoes are done, add the shredded paneer and mix well.
Allow this to cook for about 10-12 minutes stirring occasionally.
Once done, turn off heat and garnish with mint and coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rotis / phulkas / parathas.
