Berry Crumble

It’s Valentine’s day! I am sure you are racking your brains to figure out how to surprise your loved one with something sweet and special.  Skip the store bought pastry and make something straight from the heart!

If you are planning for a special treat for your partner, how about cute heart shaped desserts?

A lil juicy, a lil crunchy and a whole lot of love. That’s Berry Crumble for you 🙂

Here is the recipe for Berry Crumble, a wholesome combination of the best of berries!

RECIPE:

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Baking time: 20 minutes

Serving: 2 people

INGREDIENTS:

Berries – about 2 small cups (I used Raspberries and Blueberries)

All purpose flour – 3 tbsp

Rolled Oats – 3 tbsp

Butter – 2 tbsp

Raw Brown Sugar – 5 to 6 tbsp

Cinnamon Powder – 1/4 tsp

Baking powder – a pinch

Vanilla Essence – few drops

METHOD:

Preheat the oven at 350ºF.

First, prepare the berries – to do this, add the berries in the bowl.

Now add 3-4 tbsp of raw sugar and vanilla essence. Mix well but gently.

Divide the berries in 2 ramekins and keep it aside.

Now, In the same bowl, add the flour, oats, butter at room temperature, raw sugar, and baking powder.

Mix well with your hands till you get a crumbly mixture.

Add this crumble mixture on top of the berries in the ramekins.

Bake for 20 minutes at 350ºF.

Serve hot as it is or top it with vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream.
